Perhaps tied into my love of maps is my enthusiasm for travel and exploration. I have always read about different parts of the country and the world with great interest and savor the day I will be able to explore these places for myself. As a first step, the fall after graduating college I set off on a solo cross country trip from my hometown of Oswego, NY to the Pacific coast.
